Sesame-Coated Turkey Fingers

After having homemade, delicious turkey fingers you’ll wonder why you’ve been eating those deep-fried chicken fingers with all the fat and calories. Dip these baked ones in some ketchup, honey or plum sauce. Try panko crumbs for a change from breadcrumbs.  They have a lighter flavour and texture and are made from rice flour.

RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with vegetable oil.

2. Cut the turkey into strips about 6-inches long and 1-inch wide.

3. Combine the flour, garlic and salt and pepper and place in a shallow bowl. Whisk together the egg and milk in another bowl. Combine the breadcrumbs and sesame seeds in another bowl.

4. Dip the turkey strips in the flour mixture, followed by the egg mixture, then the breadcrumb mixture. Place the strips on the prepared baking sheet. Spray with vegetable oil and bake for about 10 minutes, until just cooked.
